MSA Muay Thai Premier League featuring Thai superstar Buakaw Por Pramuk

On Saturday 29 May 2010 at ExCeL in London, MSA Muay Thai Premier League will feature none other than Thailand champion and world superstar Buakaw Por Pramuk against one of England’s best Jordan Watson.

The fight is sanctioned by the world governing body of the sport, the WMC (World Muaythai Council).

Buakaw is with no doubt one of the ambassadors in and out of the ring, former WMC and 2 times K1 Max champion, he has fought his way back into the top 10 with victories like John-Wayne Parr at the WMC supershow in Jamaica. Jordan is muaythai through and through, training since the age of 5, making his way through the amateur ranks as the English Junior Champion and becoming the English WMC Champion.

For both fighters, this is the last big test before they move on to the highest crowd, Buakaw representing Thailand in the 71kg division at the SportAccord Combat Games in Beijing, under patronage of the IOC, and Jordan one of the 16 selected world’s best at the upcoming Challenger Muaythai World Series reality show.

The undercard, which is a main card in itself, is the WMC Featherweight female world title between two of the best from two continents – Bernice Alldis, the English and WMC Eurpoean Champion, will take on the North american Champion Misty Sutherland. This will be another fantastic promotion for muaythai and shows that female fights have become just as popular as their male counterparts. Misty Sutherland is one of the 8 girls qualified for Beijing also.

Interestingly enough the Beijing Games will be hosted at their Olympic venues, and the MSA show is being hosted at one of the upcoming Olympic venues for 2012. This is all in line with WMC and IFMA’s roadmap towards IOC recognition, and gives the elite fighters the honour to fight in Olympic venues.

WMC would like to congratulate MSA for putting on this world class event, which will be televised on the WMC network around the world.
