ARISF President Raffaele Chiulli held another very constructive meeting with the IOC President Thomas Bach at the IOC Headquarters in Lausanne to discuss the continued close cooperation between the two Organizations.
Special focus was put on the appreciated contribution of ARISF in the recognition process of International Federations, good governance, ethics and the protection of clean athletes. The regular personal exchanges between the IOC and ARISF Presidents are crucial for the role of ARISF and its 37 Member Federations within the Olympic Family with the purpose to contribute to the harmonious growth of the Olympic Movement.
The Association of IOC Recognised International Sport Federations (ARISF) is the world authority regrouping all IOC Recognised International Sport Federations. Currently the association counts 37 International Sports Federations: Air Sports, American Football, Automobile, Bandy, Baseball/Softball, Basque Pelota, Billiards Sports, Boules Sports, Bowling, Bridge, Chess, Sport Climbing, Cricket, Dance Sport, Floorball, Flying Disc, Karate, Korfball, Lifesaving, Motorcycling, Climbing/Mountaineering, Netball, Orienteering, Polo, Powerboating, Racquetball, Roller Sports, Ski Mountaineering, Squash, Sumo, Surfing, Tug of War, Underwater, Waterski/Wakeboard, Wushu. ARISF welcomes 2 new members that have been recently recognised by the IOC – Cheerleading and Muaythai.
