A big delegation from the Royal Thai Govt. led by Deputy Prime Minister HE General Thanasak Pratimapragorn, Minister of Tourism and Sports HE Mrs. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Governor of the Sport Authority of Thailand Mr. Sakon Wannapong, Director of DPE and many others visited the SportAccord Convention. The delegation met the leading personalities in sport, IOC President, Dr Bach, Convention President, Mr. Ricci Bitti, GAISF/ SportAccord President Mr. Baumann, World Games President, Mr. Perurena, FISU President, Mr. Matytsin, and the list goes on.
Certainly a big photo session took place at the IFMA booth. IFMA has been participating at every SportAccord Convention since 2005 and certainly, all of IFMA’s hardwork was paid off when the IOC recognised IFMA in December last year.
The Deputy Prime Minister stated that he was highly impressed with the promotion that IFMA has been doing to promote Muaythai as a cultural art form and sport and the acceptance and credibility IFMA has in the recognised world sport community.
IFMA President Dr. Tapsuwan stated that it was a proud moment to be visited by such a delegation at the IFMA booth. The deputy Prime Minister and Sport Minister also welcomed many of the IFMA family, the IFMA Sport Director, IFMA Vice President Rafal Szlachta, Executive Board Member, Dmitry Putilin and the entire IFMA International delegation being part of the Convention.
The Deputy Prime Minister also stated that Muaythai can be proud that the current SportAccord President Mr. Fox is also the General Secretary of IFMA, which also showcases the trust the world of sport has in the efforts and achievements of IFMA for the overall development of sport.
