Macau Presents the Logo of the muaythai Asian Championships 2018

December 4-12 will make Macau the Asian capital for Muaythai where the strongest athletes from the region will come to compete for the title of the Asian Champion 2018.
While the young athletes have just returned home from a memorable Youth World Championship in Bangkok, heads are turning to Macau as the host of IFMA’s next major event.
The International Federation of Muaythai Amateur released the logo of the event which will take place in the Macau Forum event hall. The logo features a mongkon held by two hands representing the unity around the tradition of the sport.

IFMA Director Charissa Tynan said that one thousand years of the Muaythai history are especially symbolic for Asia with Muaythai originating in Thailand. The Asian Championships honours the traditions of the sport which is one of the Muaythai pillars alongside Respect, Honour Excellence, and Fair Play.

IFMA President Dr. Sakchye said that the logo reflects the history and beauty of Macau as well as the sport of Muaythai. It ties together the sport and the colourful nature and cultural diversity of Macau.

The Asian Championships expects athletes from over 35 Asian Countries which will take the Muaythai audience to another continental event to be remembered.
