Life achievement Awards for Founder of FAMA and IFMA

82 countries participate in the IFMA , FAMA Life achievement award Gala Diner

The extravagant Gala Dinner was hosted by H.E. Privy Councilor of His Majesty the King of Thailand. The event received great public interest and the gala diner was telecasted in Asia, Europe and OceaniaThe attendees included Muaythai representatives from over 80 countries and many VIP gathered at the gala consisted of Ambassadors of different countries; they were served 9-course meal during the event – it was definitely one of the most productive night in the Muaythai event history.

This was the first time the, IFMA, and FAMA presented ‘Life Achievement Award' to the Muaythai community. The entire WMC, IFMA and FAMA board members came up on the stage to honor ‘Ms. Sonsri Suvantadha ' , the wife of late FAMA and IFMA Vice President Mr. Bunjuen, and ‘Ms.Benja Messomonta ' , the wife of the late IFMA and FAMA President General Vorayudh Messomonta. Mr. Bunjuen, the former FAMA president, passed away several hours after the opening ceremony of the Asian games 1998, he proudly carried the IFMA and FAMA flag during the program, and, General Vorayudh Messomnta taking over as IFMA and FAMA President launched the first IFMA application to the GAISF for the member status – he, therefore, introduced the sport of Muaythai to the most respectful international sport federation in order to push Muaythai to the global scale.

A standing ovation was given to these wonderful women for their husband's hard work and solid foundation laid for the Muaythai world. Dr. Sakchye, the present president of IFMA and FAMA, emphasized that the inclusion into the GAISF is the most historical day for MUAYTHAI; it is most appropriate to not forget our former presidents who leaded us to this advantageous direction. With their great vision, we stand today with pride as Muaythai has become one of the world's sport. The awards have been presented H.E. Privy Councilor of His Majesty the King of Thailand, the President of the WMC , the President of IFMA and FAMA ,Thailand IOC member and importantly the executive board of FAMA and IFMA which all have come to Bangkok to honor the fathers of Muaythai and to demonstrate that there is only one FAMA under the Umbrella of IFMA a member of GAISF.
