Ambassadors from around the world were invited and proudly witnessed their team marching in the stadium. Over 1000 participants, athletes, coaches, officials took part in this opening day which made it the biggest MUAYTHAI Championships ever staged.
After the ceremony, the athletes remained in the stadium to watch a display of MuayBoran , to remember the roots of their sport.
MUAYTHAI recently received a huge boost when it became a member of GAISF under the IFMA umbrella. This can only be a positive move and will bring MuayThai firmly onto the world stage.
Congratulations must go to the organizers in staging this fantastic event. Thailand thanks all our MUAYTHAI friends for traveling to Thailand to join the Kingdom in the celebration of His Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee.
