AIBA and IFMA Friendship Meeting

The President and Board Members of the IOC and GAISF recognised federations for the sports of Boxing and Muaythai had two important meetings recently, one in Bangkok, and one in Beijing.

The newly elected AIBA President and IOC member, Mr CK Wu, from Taiwan, and the former AIBA World Vice President and current President of IFMA, Dr Sakchye Tapsuwan, held important talks about the development of both sports and the future plans of Muaythai to become an IOC recognised sport.
Also, importantly, future co-operation between AIBA and IFMA has been discussed for our respective sports, and we are both looking forward to a long term relationship and friendship.
