An important meeting was held in Bangkok on 18th October to discuss all details of the 2007 World Championships, to be held in Thailand from 27th November to 5th December in honour of HM the King of Thailand's 80th birthday celebrations.

The meeting was chaired by HE General Pichitr Kullavanijaya, Privy Councilor to HM the King and honorary President of the WMC, IFMA and FAMA, and Dr Sakchye Tapsuwan, President of IFMA.

This years Championships are set to see 100 countries joining together to celebrate His Majesty's birthday and the growth of Muaythai in Thailand and around the world under IFMA, FAMA and the WMC, and the meeting confirmed that preparations are well under way for making this the biggest Muaythai event ever staged.
