IFMA Muaythai Technical Courses

IFMA and the WMC set the rules and regulations to ensure the highest standard in international competition. The Muaythai calendar is very busy with events around the world. This month again, many courses have been held in different parts of the world, such as Germany (for all European recognized referees organized by Ajarn Somchai, the chairperson of the World Technical Committee), one in Sweden (organized by the General Secretary of IFMA) and one in Thailand (for Asian referees and judges, organized by Ajarn Radom) just to name a few.

The WMC and IFMA also has worked hard to develop female referees to officiate the females fights. This encourages women who may not want to fight to be able to participate fully in the sport. Currently, over 20% of our registered officials are female.  Only by monitoring the standard of the referees can the safety of the fighters be ensured.
