The Contender Asia will with no doubt be one of the biggest promotions for the development of Muaythai ever put together. The reality series will see 16 boxers chosen for their skills and personalities moving into the Contender house to fight for fame and glory.
The World Muaythai Council, the world governing body for Muaythai, is the sanctioning body, and in order for all parties to have a clear understanding of the rules, regulations and scoring system of Muaythai, the World Muaythai Council and the Contender production team organized a Judge and Referee course, held in Singapore.
There are only 3 days to go until the biggest Muaythai reality show kicks off. The whole Muaythai world is waiting in anticipation to find out who will be the final Contender, and receive the biggest prize money ever paid in the history of Muaythai.
The Contenders have been jointly chosen by the Contender team and the world governing body for Muaythai, the World Muaythai Council (WMC), based on skill, spirit and character. The WMC is also in charge of all technical aspects of the event, and WMC referees from around the world will travel to Singapore to be part of the show.
