Only 5 days to the opening of the 2013 Asian Indoor & Martial Art Games (AIMAG), the official test event for the upcoming Asian Games under the banner of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).
Paulo Balicha pulls in the victory to represent Switzerland on The Contender Asia Season Two.
Sundya 30th November saw the qualifier for the Swiss Contender for Season Two of the TV show at the venue located at 9 fache Thaiboxweltmeister Basel.
In the first round, Paolo had to struggle against the 2-time Sambo World Champion, Tabor Csillag from Hungary. Paulo won convincingly in the 1st Round
In the finale, viewers in the sold-out venue of FAME were given the show of the century. The German-Polish “Pacco” who had given his previous opponent in his semifinal a fierce battle went aggressively from the first round and scored some points against Paulo Balicha with harsh attacks. Balicha cam back to control the second round, dominating right up until end of the round.
The third round saw Paulo Balicha manouver a stunning flying knee that cracked the head of the German-Polish “Pacco” resulting in an exhilarating K.O.
Paulo Balicha is now looking to continue his gruelling training at camps in Holland and Thailand to prepare
for the great challenge in Malaysia : “I already have experience with Reality Shows, however, last time this was in the sport of Foot ball on Swiss TV. I am happy that I now can have that experience in the sport of muaythai”
Paulo’s business partner and manager Benjamin Aebischer, organizer of the gala (www.swisslasvegas.tv)is convinced of Balicha’s qualities: “Paulo has already participated 4 times in K1 tournaments. He is internationally experienced and has a real chances to win the Contender Asia season 2 — we are with him and will do everything to support him in reaching this goal”
